Mielno is a large village in West Pomerania (Zachodniopomorskie), Poland. It is inhabited by 5,112 citizens (2003). It is a well-known tourist destination with nice sandy beaches on the Baltic Sea. The town is sandwiched between the sea and the large Jamno lake. Recently Mielno has merged with the nearby town of Uniescie. Mielno is located 15 km away from Koszalin (a major Polish city).
Gmina Mielno is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Koszalin County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Mielno.
The gmina covers an area of 62.54 square kilometres (24.1 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 5,068.
